Please join us for our
Day of Prayer & Fasting
each Tuesday (6th, 13th, 20th, 27th)
| Every THURSDAY (1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th) pray for South Australia
| • Pray for Ken, a new follower who is sharing his faith everyday, however his wife is not a believer and is giving him a hard time about his faith. Pray that the Lord will give him wisdom and the right words to share with his wife.
• Praise God for Kevin who has expressed his faith in Jesus and a real commitment to follow Him clearly for the first time. Pray that he will be a witness to his family and continue to grow in his commitment to Christ. • Thank the Lord for the many mothers that are coming to the café. Pray that Evan and Michelle will have many continuing opportunities to share the Good News with these mothers as they come into the café. • We continue to pray for our neighbor Frank. Mark has shared and so he has heard the Good News. Pray that it will bear fruit in his life. Pray for Mark and his ongoing opportunities to meets with him, praying also that the Lord will give him the right words to share. • Pray that the Lord will break thru the spiritual darkness here in Australia. Pray specifically for the many young people that are getting caught up in the binge drinking lifestyle that is the ‘expected’ rite of passage into adulthood and is therefore glorified in the young adult culture. Pray that the Holy Spirit will begin to create in the empty lives and hearts of the young adults of Australia a hunger to find and truly know God. |
| Every FRIDAY (2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th) pray for Tasmania
| • Pray for Ben as he travels to the USA this month. He will be attending a seminar and will have an opportunity of being able to conduct a Reboot training session with relatives and friends. A praise is that he will be able to visit with his Dad, who is recovering from heart surgery and be able to attend their son’s college graduation.
• Pray for our training groups, and for those who are being trained as disciple-makers. • Pray for the new training group involving Congolese immigrants. • Pray for new believers Phil and Kerrie that they would continue to be grounded in their faith. • Pray for our daughter’s friend Jess, whom she led to the Lord in mid-April. |
| Every SATURDAY (3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st) pray for New South Wales Immigrant Work
| • Over the last couple of months we have asked you to pray for a Muslim friend whom we have been trying to help as he worked but was denied a visa to go to the U.S. to visit his sick mother. Praise the Lord that he called and wished a ‘happy Easter” which is a big deal because Muslims usually want nothing to do with even acknowledging Jesus rose from the grave.
• Pray for a female Muslim friend whom at Easter we were was able to invite over, along with her children, for afternoon tea. We presented along with a couple of Easter baskets for the children, a book called “The Case for Easter”. We have had the opportunity to read a couple of chapters of this great little book, opening the door for great discussions. Please pray for continuing opportunities for discussion and that God will open her ears and heart to the Truth about the death and resurrection of Christ. • Pray for a friend that we’ve had to the opportunity to build a relationship with and share at the local gym. • Pray that we will be able to continue to share with all the contacts we have established here in Sydney. |
| Every SUNDAY (4th, 11th, 18th, 25th) pray for All of Australia
| • Most Churches here in Australia are in decline and are one generation from closing down permanently. We know that God will grow His church. Please pray that we His followers here in Australia will be open to see where He is at work and join him in planting His churches. Australia is in a spiritual drought! Pray that the Lord of the heavens will pour out his Spirit and break this drought! |
| Every MONDAY (5th, 12th, 19th, 26th) pray for Northern Territory
| • We praise God for the opportunity of our people group of being invited to attend the Easter Sunday Celebration at Willowra, southwest of Sydney. Seven aboriginal communities were represented in this endeavor. Pray that God will continue to touch and work in the hearts of our people group.
• The Word of God and many personal testimonies were shared through the Easter celebration weekend. On the Saturday the Aboriginal Easter Christian Purlupa was celebrated by using a boomerang as they read the Bible verses and sang a song in their own heart language. Continue to pray that God will continue to speak into the lives of these people. • Praise the Lord that during this celebration on Sunday, twelve Aboriginal men and women from 3 different Aboriginal communities followed the Lord by being baptized. Please pray for their continuing spiritual journey that they will grow in grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! • Pray for all those individuals – through a moving time of reconciliation and of saying sorry to each other individually and collectively – who have committed themselves to reach out to the lost people in their own Aboriginal communities. We had over 300 people in attendance; it was truly awesome to see God at work. • Pray for Chenayla Mary Spencer and Cassandra Anne Newman and the parents of these precious children. Pray that they will “train up their children in the way they should go…” to honor and fear the Lord. • Pray for a wonderfully strong leader within the Warlpiri Aboriginal community, Mary Rockman, who has been diagnosed with cancer of the kidney. Pray for wisdom as the doctors treat her. Pray for her family that they will find strength, comfort, hope and peace in the great Healer. Pray that through this Mary will continue to faithfully and boldly live out her life as an encourager and support, showing and sharing Christ to all she comes in contact with. May her life continue to shine for Christ! • Answered prayer…a little over a year ago we had major floods in Katherine and our house was flooded out, damaging much of our personal items. But such is his timing in that we are grateful that we have been able to secure another house on higher ground! |
| Every TUESDAY (6th, 13th, 15th, 20th, 27th) pray for New South Wales Japanese Work
Day of | • Pray for Mar who slips in quietly to worship when she can sneak away from her husband (because of his objection). She has been surely seeking meaning through Jesus, so please pray that the Spirit will work in her life revealing salvation through Jesus to her.
• As our work to Japanese here in Australia winds down, please pray that God would provide someone to continue a witness specifically to two groups of women who continue to be eager to learn more about Jesus. • A recent encounter with Chi & Sets, a Christian lady and her non-Christian husband living in an unreached area of Sydney, could prove to be a new outreach opportunity. The wife is open to this, so pray that God will lay this vision also on someone’s heart as well, feeling compelled to join Him where He’s working. • Gierhart’s daughter, who is studying at a Christian business college here in Sydney has closely connected with a Muslim student, Zo. Zo has even shown interest in attending a Christian event where she leads in the worship music. Pray for boldness in her witness in this unique opportunity. |
| Every WEDNESDAY (7th, 14th, 21st , 28th) pray for Queensland
